Bicyclist Struck By Truck, Seriously Hurt In Neptune City

Police, firefighters and EMS crews were called to Route 66 in Monmouth County on a report of a bicyclist struck by a truck, authorities said.

The collision occurred shortly before noon on the 2200 block of Route 66 in Neptune City, according to reports.

Police requested advanced life support for the seriously injured person, according to an initial unconfirmed report.

The patient was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
